Challenge

For Raksha Bandhan, VEGA aimed to engage its audience with a campaign that celebrated the special bond between siblings. We sought to create a contest that would resonate with the emotional and playful relationship between brothers and sisters, while also promoting VEGA’s grooming range as the perfect gift for this festive occasion. The goal was to encourage user-generated content and increase brand visibility across social media platforms. We wanted to offer participants a fun way to celebrate their siblings while providing them with a chance to win a special gift.

Insight

Raksha Bandhan is a festival deeply rooted in love, care, and the playful banter that characterizes sibling relationships. Brothers and sisters often share special moments that reflect their unique bond. VEGA identified an opportunity to tap into this sentiment by creating a contest that not only celebrated these moments but also aligned with VEGA’s brand message of grooming and styling. By inviting participants to share why their sibling deserves a special gift, we were able to create a campaign that was both heartfelt and engaging.

Idea

The Raksha Bandhan contest was a social media campaign built around the theme: “Is your sibling #RakhiReadyBoleTohVegaReady?” Participants were invited to tag their siblings and tell us in the comments why they deserve to win a special gift that would make them look and feel their best. The contest ran on VEGA’s official Instagram and Facebook pages, encouraging users to showcase their sibling’s style. To enter, participants had to follow @VegaBeauty, like the post, and use the hashtag #RakhiReadyBoleTohVegaReady. The most heartfelt and unique entry would win a gift from VEGA’s grooming range.

Results

The campaign successfully engaged users by leveraging the emotional bond of Raksha Bandhan, encouraging user-generated content, and positioning VEGA as the go-to brand for festive grooming.
