#StyledByMom - A Mother's Day Campaign that Connects

Challenge

To attract more engagement on social media platforms and get audiences to connect and respond.

Insight

Mother’s Day serves as a universal occasion for expressing love and appreciation for our moms. Leveraging this sentiment and combining this with Vega, we recognised the bond that mother’s and daughters together share with hair. Our goal was a feel-good factor giveaway filled with nostalgia and honoring mothers across the country who’ve always made sure that their daughters leave the house with perfect hair.

Idea

We saw an opportunity to tap into a special bond: the one moms and daughters share through hair. We came up with a fun and engaging giveaway where we asked our followers to share a hairstyle last done on them by their moms. Participants were invited to share photos or short videos on Instagram Stories featuring hairstyles their moms created recently. To join the fun, they simply had to use the hashtag #StyledByMom and tag Vega’s official account.

Results

Picture this: more than 50 eager participants from every corner of social media jumping in, bringing a tidal wave of positive vibes and sky-high engagement. Every single participant walked away with a smile, proving that a sprinkle of Vega magic can make any day a bit brighter!
