Transforming AMD's Market Consideration in India

Challenge

Despite AMD’s reputation for producing top-tier processors, the brand struggled to gain significant consideration among its target audience in the Indian market. While the products were recognised for performance, consumers often opted for competing brands due to stronger word-of-mouth and brand recognition. The challenge was to elevate AMD’s standing and make it a top choice among Indian consumers.

Insight

Recognising the importance of brand recognition, we understood that consumers need a familiar face to associate with a brand. To increase AMD’s consideration, it was imperative to establish a strong brand identity that resonated with the target audience.

Idea

With the launch of the 4th Gen AMD EPYC processor, we saw an opportunity to redefine AMD’s brand value and consideration. We conceptualised the campaign “Make Tomorrow Epic” with the goal of creating compelling content throughout the various phases of the product launch, disseminated across multiple channels.

Our strategy encompassed a comprehensive approach, including television commercials, media advertisements, roadblocks, emailers, carousels, and social media posts, ensuring widespread visibility for the “Make Tomorrow Epic” campaign. Additionally, to inject personality and relatability into the campaign, we enlisted Shreya Chaudhary as the brand ambassador, providing a recognisable face for AMD in the Indian market.

Results

The outcome exceeded expectations, delighting our client, AMD, with the impactful results achieved. By meticulously curating creative content and associating a familiar face with the campaign, we successfully elevated AMD’s brand identity and consideration among Indian consumers. The “Make Tomorrow Epic” campaign not only captured attention but also solidified AMD’s position as a frontrunner in the Indian processor market, paving the way for continued success and brand recognition in the region.
